A group calling itself, Zabzugu Educated Youth association is urging the District Chief Executive for the area Issifu Alidu Laabandoo to pay special attention to three key developmental areas in the district.
The youth mentioned education, health and unity among the people in the district as some of the areas the DCE needs to focus his attention to.
The youth say the area even though has witnessed some development; it still needs a lot of attention to catch-up with other districts in the northern region.
Honourable Laabandoo was confirmed by members of Zabzugu assembly on Tuesday after he was appointed by the president John Dramani Mahama. Honourable Laabandoo polled 17 valid votes out of 24 representing 71 percent.
The youth assured the DCE -elect for Zabzugu of their unflinching support to ensure that the district’s developments get the needed attention.
A statement issued in Zabzugu and signed by its Secretary Issahaku Alhassan said the youth in the district have confidence that Honourable Laabandoo will use his experience to move the development of Zabzugu forward.
