President Mahama enskinned as Yeni Zoo-Maligu-Naa

The president, John Dramani Mahama has been enskined as Yeni Zoo-Maligu Naa. President Mahama was enskinned by the Regent of Dagbon and the Acting President of Dagbon Traditional Council, Kampakuya-Naa Andani Yakubu Abdulai during the 2015 Damba festival in Yendi. 
The president enskiment was as a result of his commitment in ensuring that, there was absolute peace in Dagbon. 
The president after assuming office as the president of the Republic of Ghana vow to bring the two factions in the Dagbon Chieftaincy divide together before retiring as the president of Ghana. 
The president has since takes step to ensure that the people of Dagbon lives in peace and harmony. 
The theme for this year Damba festival is;”Taking Inspiration from our Common Heritage and culture in the Struggle for Peace and Development”.
The president said the theme should be a clarions call for everybody to ensure peace in Dagbon. He said the unfortunate incidence that took place in Dagbon has tented the people of Dagbon as people who don't like peace. 
He commended both the Abudus and Andanis for coming together to celebrate the Damba festival last year and this year.
The president commended all chiefs and traditional leaders in the Dagbon traditional area for their massive attendance of the event.
He expressed regret that Dagbon has witnessed some unpleasant and undesirable events. “Let's focus on compromises  to promote peace that will bring development in Dagbon”, the president appealed. 
He hinted that the Asantehene who is the chairman of Eminent  Chiefs mediating on Dagbon Chieftaincy issue will meet all sides this month to conclude the work of outstanding issues involving traditional and customary and urged all factions to let the spirit of peace and compromises to prevailed at Asantehene's palace. He expressed the hope that the meeting with Asantehene will bring lasting peace to  Dagbon.
