Regent of Dagbon signed Mills Book of condolence

The Regent of Dagbon, Kampakuya Naa Abdulai Andani has said the demise of President is irreparable loss to the people of Ghana and urged all Ghanaians to unite as the country begins the funeral ceremony.
He said he received President Mills death with shock and called on the people of Ghana to give their maximum cooperation  to  president John Dramani Mahama to continue the good work of the late president Mills.
Kampakuya-Naa Abdulai Andani said death is inevitable and that everyone will surely go to his creator and appealed to Ghanaians not to attribute the demise of the late President Mills to anything except to his creator.
The regent made these statements when he signed a book of condolence on behalf of the people and traditional rulers in Dagbon at the Northern Regional Coordinating Council in Tamale.
Kampakuya-Naa expressed the hope that the peace Northern Region and the country as whole is enjoying will continue under the president Mahama.
He said his personal relation with the late president Mills dates back to the days when he was not into politics and prayed that his soul rests in perfect peace.
Kampakuya-Naa also donated a ram and some amount of money as burial ritual on behalf of the people of Dagbon per Dagbon customs and tradition.
The Northern Regional Minister Moses Bukari Mabengba on behalf of government thanked the regent of Dagbon and traditional rulers in the Dagbon kingdom.
Mr. Mabengba announced that Tuesday 31ST July, 2012 marks the beginning of seven day funeral arrangement of the late president Mills with inter-denominational prayers.  
Accordingly, the regional minister said all Regional Houses of Chiefs have been informed to constitute a delegation to represent the people of their respective traditional areas to witness the burial ceremony in Accra.
The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the region led by its Chairman Alhaji Haruna Tia and some regional executives pay glowing tribute to late president Mills for his efforts in developing the country.  The northern regional minister commended the NPP saying he has enjoyed a good relationship with the party and commended the leadership for the cordial relationship with the opposition parties in the region.

He said he cannot recollect any misunderstanding with the NPP and said that, that is the best way to live together as one people. The NPP regional chairman, Alhaji Haruna Tia, regional Secretary Dr Clifford Braimah, and former DCE for Zabzugu signed the book of condolence.   ]]>
