A group calling itself, Vigilant Youth of National Democratic Congress (NDC) has expressed the displeasure and disassociated itself from what they describe as non-existing and faceless youth group whose leadership is out to witch-hunt the Chief Executive Officer of Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA).

The Vigilant Youth who also described themselves “True Concerned Citizens of Tamale’’  have about five youth groups challenging  what they called saboteurs to stop attacking the personality of SADA CEO and contribute to the success of SADA in the savannah ecological zone.

The group membership includes Bi-Neeti youth association, Tamale coalition of youth groups and members of all youth groups in Tamale.

The group in a statement signed by its Secretary, Yahaya Abdul-Rahaman, said the call by the  Concerned Citizens of Northern Ghana is baseless and an attempt to tarnish the image of Alhaji Gilbert Seidu Iddi, SADA CEO.

The statement said the allegations against SADA CEO and the board is a mark of ignorance on proper administrative procedures and that there is no group in the Northern, Upper East and Upper West regions called Concerned Citizens of Northern Ghana.

The statement added that SADA is for the progress of Ghana and the north and that if miscreants are putting obstacles on the way, the north has a long way to go in terms of development.

It also called for an end to politicization of SADA and supports it to bring socio-economic development to the savannah belt.
