Thunder strikes DVOTICH, destroys students' belongings

Students of the Dabo Kpaa Vocational and Technical Institute (DAVOTICH) are in state of shock after thunder struck the girl’s dormitory destroying almost all their belongings  at about 4 pm local time on Monday 1st of October 2012.
The properties destroyed include clothing, beds, book,s food items and learning instruments among other valuable items.
Narrating the incidents to Zaa News, the students say they were at a meeting with their vice principal of administration, when the thunder struck their dormitory. 
One of the students is reported to have collapsed and was rushed to the Tamale Hospital.  The engulfing fire from the thunder was eventually put off by the Ghana National Fire Service.
The Station’s Sub-Officer of the Ghana national fire service, Nii Sei told Zaa News that it is too early to establish the cause of the fire and assured that investigating team from their outfit will commence investigation into the incident.
The vice principal of administration, Madam Magritte Gbande also confirmed the incident to Zaa News.
The students are therefore appealing to the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) and philanthropists to come to their aid.  ]]>
