Authorities at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (THH) has urged the people in the northern region to remain calm in spite several criticisms against the management on issues of missing equipment at the neurosurgical unit. TTH authorities say they are committed and remain focused in delivery healthcare services to the people in the region.
A statement issued in Tamale and signed by the Public Relations Officer of TTH, Gabriel Nii Otu Ankrah said hospital has notified the minister of health, regional police command, the criminal investigation department and the Bureau of national investigation.
The TTH comment follows calls by the concern citizens association of Tamale for full scale investigations and some heads of the hospital to be roll over stilling of consumables.
The statement said TTH has confidence in the security agencies to unravel the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the equipment and bring the perpetrators to book.
It further stated that, the management has cooperated and assisted the investigation by producing their staff to write statement and report regularly to the police.
The statement said it has responsible and visionary people at the helm of affairs at the hospital who mindful about the infrastructure expansion, clinical advancement and human resource capacity.
