We will recruit 6 polling agents for 2016 elections- Boateng Gyan reveal

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) says it will recruit six polling agents in the 2016 general elections.

The six polling agents according to the NDC is to ensure effective monitoring and also encourage party members who are at their various homes to come out on the voting date  and cast their votes.

The electoral commission in the 2012 election asked the political parties to present two poling agents but the NDC recruited four and hinted that it will increase its polling agents come 2016 elections to 6.

 The party has assured those to be recruited that it has put in place plans measures to help the polling agents who sometimes accuse the party for not giving them jobs after they have suffered for the party.

The national organizer of the NDC Yaw Boateng Gyan disclosed in an interview with Zaa News in Tamale that the party was taking no chances in the 2016 elections because the utterances by the opposition NPP was clear that the NDC need to map up strategies to avoid being cheated at the polling station.

The NDC national organizer also hinted that the government will soon set up a demonstration on farming with the aim of inculcating unto the youth the need to go into farming.
