The Northern Regional Minister, Mr Abdallah Abubakari has urged students in the region to take their studies seriously. According to him, education is the only key to success and therefore students should not hesitate to learn.
The call was made on his behalf by the district chief executive of the West Mamprusi District, Mr David Wuni, during a presentation of branded exercise books to some students from some selected districts in the northern region held on Tuesday in Tamale.
The selected districts included the West Mamprusi, Sawla Tuna-Kalba, Sagnarigu district and the Tamale metropolis.
Ms Ayisha Iddrisu Mahama, the northern regional representative of the most watched television show on TV3, Nine Beauty Pageant Program, made the presentation.
The programme, which is proudly sponsored by Sasso, seeks to improve education and good living conditions of people across the country.
It was also a way of showing appreciation to the public for the confidence reposed in her to represent the region in the competition, and also for the public’s patronizing of the Sasso product.
In all, 100,000 branded exercise books and pens are to be distributed to students in the northern region. Addressing students, Mr. Wuni challenged them to be determined in their studies in order to be good future leaders.
