The President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Nana Akuffo Addo, has donated 100,000 Ghana Cedis to the Dagban Development Fund, as well as the Vice President, who has also donated 100,000 Ghana Cedis.
This is to help in the reconstruction of the Gbewaa Palace.
Addressing the gathering at the sod-cutting ceremony at the Gbewaa Palace in Yendi, the President announced this to the gathering. This was done by the Regional Minister on behalf of the President Nana Akufo -Addo.
The Northern Regional Minister, Shani Alhassan Sayibu, who spoke on behalf of both the President and the Vice President, stated tha his office, the Northern Regional Coordinating Council, has also contributed 50,000 Ghana cedis towards the reconstruction of the Gbewaa Palace.
He also called for more support for the project.
