A leading member of the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Northern Region Alhaji Abdallah Hindu has send a strong warning to politicians to desist from making public, donations to the Gbewaa Palace and other chiefs in Dagbon.
He says public pronouncement and discussions of any of the palaces of the chiefs, particularly the Gbewaa Palace will be fiercely resisted henceforth. The warning by Alhaji Abdallah Hindu who is the Regional NADMO Coordinator comes in the wake of the public discussions of the recent donations to the Gbewaa Palace towards the funeral of the late wife of the King of Dagbon Ya-Naa Abukari II by the Regional Chairman of the NPP Samba.
‘’I am sending a signal and a warning to politicians, both NPP and NDC, we are not going to take things like that. Politicians should desist from posting little tokens they give to these chiefs on social media’’, he emphasized.
His anger is more profound because the discussions have escalated to other chiefs with the Deputy Regional Secretary Yussif Danjumah alleging that Naa Bakpem Yoo-Naa had enquired about a certain promise Chairman Samba made during the funeral of Ya-Naa Yakubu Andani II.
He was speaking to a sister station Sagani TV monitored by Zaa News. Danjumah’s comments and other public discussions, Alhaji Hindu describes as despicable and desecration of the chieftaincy institution of Dagbon. He therefore warns that any politician or youth who make public discussions about the chiefs will be attacked and dealt with appropriately.
