Former President John Dramani Mahama on Saturday visited patients at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.
His visit, was among other things, to check on former NDC Chairman, Alhaji Zaapayim, the former Sagnarigu Constituency Chairman,Alhaji King and a member of the NDC Northern Regional Communication Team- Mohammed Zacious all on admission for various ailments.
This was after he opened a three days capacity building retreat for election directors from the 16 regions in Tamale. Interacting with the patients, the former president prayed to Allah to heal them and assured that his come back as president was to continue health sector projects his administration started.
The NDC flag-bearer said his commitment in improving the health sector infrastructure will be a priority in the next NDC government.
From the TTH, the flagbear and his entourage paid a courtesy call on the Chief Imam of Mosheis in Tamale, Alhaji Afa Issah Moroo ( Mohi Limmam ). Mr. Mahama also made a stop at the tipper truck drivers union station at Water Works. He told that he was aware of what happened to them when operation vanguard stormed the sites where they fetch the sea sand.
On 3rd March 2018, 13 tipper trucks and an excavator were set ablaze by members of Operation Vanguard over activities of sand-winning.
The NDC presidential candidate accompanied by the national chairman, national organizer and big wigs of the party interacted with people from all walks of life — butchers, drivers and market men and women.
