MUSIGA embark on peace match in the northern region

The Musician Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has joined various interest groups in the country to call for peaceful election 2016 come November 7.

MUSIGA as part of its support for election this year deemed it fit to engage regional branches to educate the public about the need to have a credible and transparent election.

Speaking to Zaa showbiz the Head of Communications and Special Projects Ahuma Bosco Ocansey said the visit of the organization to Tamale is to join hands with other bodies to educate the people of northern region about the need for a peaceful election.

This he said at a peace football match Organized by the northern peace group in Tamale. According to him, MUSIGA will be in Tamale on the 15th of August 2016 for a peace concert with the climax in Accra.

Mr Ocansey urged the youth to be mindful of the need for peace and credible election and not allow themselves to be used by any political party or individual to be violent or doing anything that will disturb the peace that the country is currently enjoying.

He also reminded the youth that the future of the country lies in their hands and so they should guide the peace jealously.

‘’Out of the six curfews in Ghana, five have happened in the northern region therefore the need to educate the people of region about the importance of peace,’’ he said.
