Campaign team of Paul Afoko has urged delegates to ignore what they described as yet another frivolous publication presently making the rounds on several media platforms alleging Mr. Paul Afoko has vow to stop Akufo-Addo, Bawumia from voting at NPP Conference.

Mr Afoko campaign team said the story, out of the blue, sprung up two days to the National Delegates’ Conference of the New Patriotic Party, is designed at causing disaffection for Paul Afoko in Saturday’s conference.

The story is fictitious, pure and simple a statement issued by a member of Mr Afoko’s campaign team and former northern regional minister Boniface Abubakari Saddique and copied to Zaa News emphasized.

For the avoidance of doubt, the statement said Paul Afoko has never questioned the eligibility of Akufo-Addo and Bawumia to vote at the Tamale conference on Saturday.

’’What Paul Afoko sort to do was to clarify whether the NPP’s 2014 Directors like  Communications, International Affairs, Finance and Administration, Research and Elections and Protocol all have voting rights’’ it said.

The statement further stated that, it is certainly Mr. Afoko’s rights to know who has voting rights in the conference and that team deems his queries very appropriate the statement added.

It stated without any form of ambiguity that Mr. Paul Afoko respects all party elders and will do all within his means to protect their integrity rather than disrespect them.

Mr Afoko’s is therefore urging  all NPP delegates and the general public to disregard such falsehoods aimed at derailing the campaign of Mr. Afoko for the position of Chairman of the NPP.
