Some of the ruling National Democratic Congress have called on the President Mahama John Dramani to relief the District Chief Executive for Central Gonja district, Mumuni Shiraz Ibn Yacin of his post. The youth accused the DCE of non performance and show of no respect to some Chiefs in the area.
The youth are threatening to quit NDC if the president fail to heed to their demand.
They have also petitioned the president to remove the DCE within two weeks or they will advice themselves.
The disgruntled youth compresses five branch executives of the NDC and some youth in the area claim the rapport between them and the DCE is not cordial which is creating disaffection among party members.
But speaking to Zaa News, the DCE described the supposed concern youth call as misplace. He said his not surprise at the deputy youth organizer Salifu Issif who is spheres-heading his removal because he has done same to his own brother Sulesu Bi-Awurapei whom he succeeded.
The DCE also accused Mr Issif of his parochial interest instead of interest of the people in the area.
He also dismissed claims that his not performing and challenge the youth to compare the current developmental projects going on in the district to the past DCEs.
The DCE said only few communities are yet to be connected to the national grid this month. Several schools and health centers have been constructed and water facilities being provided in most communities.
