Ghanaian Neighors in UK donates to Nyohini children’s home

Ghanaian Neighbors’ Association and citizens based in the United Kingdom (UK) have donated used clothing, pampers, and babies shoes and toiletries worth fourteen thousand Ghana cedis (14, 0000) to the Nyohini Children’s Home.

The association   which consists of professionals from different fields from Ghana has been in existence in UK for over ten years now.

They came together over a decade ago in the UK with the aim of supporting the vulnerable in the Ghanaian society through their earnings. 

The association since its formation has been supporting the Nyohini Children’s Home in different capacities including provision of water facilities to the home.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony in Nyohini, the leader of Ghanaian Neighbors’ Association in the Uk, Alhaji Ibrahim Sunday said the Nyohini Children’s Home is one of the association’s priority areas.

The Supervisor of the Home, Augustine Quainoo, thanked the association for their kind gesture and assured them that the items will be used for their intended purposes.

 Madam Augustine re-echoed the major challenges facing the home, especially the security of both the orphans and the staff.

Alhaji Ibrahim Sunday who is the Dagomba chief of in UK was alarmed about the plight of the home especially, the security of the children and promised to relate the problems confronting the home to the association for consideration. The home currently has 26 orphans with the youngest being three weeks old.
