Mills was committed to resolving Dagbon Chieftaincy disputes – Nantong-Naa

The Head of Abudu royal family in Dagbon, Nantong-Naa Alhaji Suley Alhassan has expressed his deepest condolence to the bereaved family of the late president Mills for his sudden demise.
Nantong-Naa Alhaji Suley further expressed his condolence to the widow, Madam Ernestina Naadu Mills, the government and the NDC party for the loss of the great son of the country.
Nantong-Naa Alhaji Suley stated this when he signed the book of condolence together with Bavim-Lana Mahama Abdulai and the regent of Diare Abukari Mahama at the northern regional coordinating council in Tamale.
He said even though he has never had personal interaction with president Mills as a prominent farmer, the late president’s style of governance and actions were peaceful, tolerant, humble and God-fearing.
Natong-Naa also acknowledged late President Mills’ commitment to ensuring the resolution of the Dagbon chieftaincy disputes, though he could not live to achieve it.
He prayed for Allah to give him a resting place. Nantong-Naa Alhaji Suley also congratulated President John Mahama for his elevation and assured him of their commitment to finding lasting solution to the chieftaincy disputes in Dagbon.
According to Nantong-Naa Alhaji Suley, the solution of the disputes between the two factions in Dagbon will be a glowing tribute in memory of the late president Mills.
 He therefore appealed to president Mahama to work hard to address the problems in order to create a united force to fighting poverty and ignorance in the northern region.
