The Paramoung Chief of Tamale, Gulkpe NAA Alhaji Alhassan Abdulai and his elders as early as 6 am local cleaned- up the palace and join hundreds of people in Tamale clean the city.
The chief and his elders after cleaning the palace joined hundreds of people including government officials at the main taxi rank for the commecement of the exercise.
Before the commencement of the National Sanitation Day exercise, the Public Relations Officer to the Gulkpe Naa, Saha Naa Alhaji Abdu-Latif briefed the media on Gulkpe Naa’s participation on the National Sanitation Day exercise at the central business district of Tamale.
He told the media that, the chief decision to take part in the exercise was largely due to his commitment in the development of Tamale and that it cannot happen when the people are not healthy.
