President nominee for Karaga DCE confirmed

The President nominee for the position of District Chief Executive for Karaga, Imoro Yakubu e has been overwhelming endorsed by members of the karaga assembly.

 Mr Imoro polled 45 votes out of 47 ballots cast. The Karaga DCE-elect until his confirmation was the assemblyman for Bagurugu electoral area in the Karaga district.  

The 35-year-old trained teacher was teaching at Watterson SDA primary school in Tamale. The DCE-elect thanked the assembly members for the confidence reposed on him and pledged to work hard to improve the living condition of the people in the area.

 Both the Northern regional minister and his deputy attended the event. Northern regional minister, Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Lemuna praised the Chief of Karaga for his grave concern for development in Dagbang.

Alhaji Muniru urged the assembly members to remain committed and united. He also emphasized that development cannot be achieved if there is no peace and unity among the people in the area and encourage every individual to be an ambassador of peace for the development of the entire country.

The Deputy Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji A.B.A. Fuseini, therefore called on the chiefs and the people of Karaga to work hand –in-glove with the new DCE for the benefit of all.
