Taha community connected to the national grid

The Member of Parliament for Tamale North constituency, Alhaji Abukari Sumani has commissioned the newly completed electrification project being embarked upon by the MP at Taha community in the Tamale North constituency.
The project forms part of the MP’s efforts through the better Ghana agenda to connect rural communities to the national grid.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony Alhaji Sumani tasked the people to use the facility judiciously and not just for merry-making and charging of their mobile phones.
He also charged parents especially mothers to encourage their children to go to school to become responsible future leaders.
He assured the people of his support to communities in the constituency that can organize evening classes for students, saying he is ready to give allowances to the teachers as a sign of motivation.
Alhaji Sumani added that as part of his support for his constituency, he has provided farmers with tractors to plough their farms for free to boost food production in the northern region. He said government is committed to improving the lot of farmers and expressed the hope that more communities will receive their share of the national cake.
The MP also assured his constituents that, the Foo-Taha road and other feeder roads in the constituency will receive attention before the December 7 elections. Alhaji Sumani challenged the youth to promote peace in their various communities.
