Three persons have been arrested by the police in connection with the mystery surrounding circulation of the nude pictures and videos in Tamale.
The three includes a 23 years old student of the University for Development Studies (UDS) and two persons in Madina, a suburb of Accra.
The police said they are not relenting on their efforts in unraveling the circumstances leading to the incident and are liaising with electronic crime bureau unit of the Ghana police to assist in getting to the bottom of the incident.
Public Relations Officer of the Northern Regional Police command, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh disclosed this to Zaa News in an interview.
The police say the issue is a serious matter and therefore urged the public to rather help the victims overcome the trauma they are currently going through.
On the repatriation of the architect of the nude pictures, the police say if the need be, they will invite him through Interpol. The Police commander says they are doing everything possible to verify the circulation of the sex videos in Tamale.
ASP said they are also working with the Electronic Crime Union to assist them uncover the misery surrounding the nude pictures.
ASP Tetteh stated that, people should assist the ladies involved to overcome what they are going through rather than making abusive comments which can make them commit suicide.
’’As to whether Karim Kamel would be repatriated or not; it is over to the police to decide whether to bring him down or not’’ ASP Tetteh explained. ’’As at now we have not found anything seriously linking him to the circulation of the nude pictures and as we do would invite him through Interpol’’ the police PRO added.
