Former deputy trade and industry Minister, Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed Murtala has descended on the government for using lies to win 2016 elections but failed to fulfill the lofty promises they made to Ghanaians.

He was sure that the NDC will win the 2020 elections because the NPP has subjected Ghanaians to the hardships it claimed citizens were facing before the 2016 elections.

According to him, even if the NDC did nothing for the people of Ghana, at least there was peace and physical infrastructure projects across the country.

Addressing communication team members at the Tamale Central Constituency on Saturday, the former Nanton MP said the NPP hood-winked Ghanaians by their wild promises which they are still struggling to fulfill.

The 2020 elections, he said will not be a do or die affair but rather a matter of principles and Ghanaians will only choose the NDC to rescue them from the current economic hardships.

The Tamale Central Women’s organizer urged women to intensify their campaigns at social ceremonies and market places for the re–election of the NDC, come 2020.

She said the price of everything in the market is increasing on a daily basis and yet the insensitive NPP government touting its free SHS when peoples complaints are about hardships.

“Where is the one village one dam? Where is one factory one district and one million per constituency every year?”  the former deputy minister asked.

He added that corruption which the NPP used against the previous administration is now the order of the day under current government led President Nana Akuffo Addo and his vice, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
