Twenty-four (24) students have been awarded diploma in Arabic Education by the Anbarriya College of Education. The graduates were enrolled into the college in 2019 and has successfully completed the two programs.

Speaking at the fifth graduation ceremony since the establishment of the college in 2012, the principal of the college, Sheik Hussein Saaed Ya’akub Jarijaa, advised the graduates to always remember that they are still learners.

He also advised them to be respectful and live exemplary life worth emulating in society. Assistant Director of Anbariya Isamic Institute, Sheik Abubakar Issahaq Tanko, reminded the graduates that the founder established Anbariya purely to serve Allah and not for any profit motive and therefore students from the institute need to be guided by that.

The Anbariya Islamic Community is one of the largest Islamic sects in the Northern region. Founded in the later part of the 20th Century by renowned Islamic scholar and preacher Sheikh Imam Yussif Anjura.

Over the years, the Institute has undertaken numerous projects in health and education to make life more meaningful for humanity. The Anbariya Islamic Training College is one of such institutions providing both Islamic and secular education.

Preaching the word of Allah is one of its core mandates. However, preaching in Tamale, especially during the holy month of Ramadan has sometimes led to clashes between the various Islamic sects in the region.

As part of efforts to reduce the tensions among these preachers, the Institute has taken the initiative to ensure that there is no provocative preaching in the region during this year’s fasting period.
