Coronavirus stalls Bimbilla chieftaincy dispute mediation-Chieftaincy Minister

The Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Mr Kofi Dzamesi has attributed the delay in the mediation process of the Bimbilla chieftaincy dispute to the covid-19 pandemic.
According to the Mr Dzamasi, the reduction of the cases of COVID-19,  the peace process in Bimbilla will resume soon again.
The chieftaincy and Religious Affairs minister was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Northern Regional House of chiefs in Tamale.
 
In August 2019, President Akufo-Addo  commissioned the Awomefia of the Anlo State,
Togbi Sri III to mediate Bimbilla chieftaincy dispute.
The  National Security  Minister, Albert Kan-Dapaah led initiative hit the rocks after


the family of Naa Dassana Andani, the late overlord of Bimbilla, say they will not be part of the Togbe Sri mediation process.

They claim the appointment of a mediator by government on the chieftaincy issues in Bimbilla is an attempt to cover up on the murder of the late chief.

But  the chieftaincy minister  is hopefully that,  the sworing in of members Northern Regional house of chiefs under the legal instrument, 2409 he pleaded on the leadership to abidby  it to promote development of mother Ghana.
