Municipal Chief Executive for West Gonja of the Savannah Region, Mr Saeed Muhazu Jibreel has cautioned the people in the area not to be complicent over the region’s zero case of Coronavirus.
The MCE said even though the people are complying with the safety protocols and abiding by restrictions order, there was still the need for people not be engaging in actities that will bring the virus into the region.
He was hopeful that measures put in place by President will help prevent further spread of COVID-19 if not eradicated in the country.
The MCE was speaking to Zaa News at Damongo during the launch of the region’s turn of fumigation and disinfestation of all Ghana Police Service facilities in the region.
The exercise is a collaborative efforts between the Ghana Police Service and zoomlion company aimed at minimizing covid-19 spread and also get rid of insects.
The West Gonja MCE commended zoomlion for their efforts so far in combating covid-19 pandemic.
He assured that his outfit will continue to collaborate with zoomlion in the area of sanitation to ensure that public places within the Municipality were safe for the people.
‘The proactive measures cople with the Municipality public education campaign, life will surely return to normalc’, Mr Saeed .
The Municipality Mr Muhazu said has put in place measure to ensure that the region did not record any positive case of COVID-19.
The Savanna Regional Crime Officer, Superintendent, Cletus Abadanlora who spoke on behalf of the regional commander said the command was grateful to the police administration for partnering with zoomlion to ensure the safety of officers.
He gave a firm commitment of their full support towards the success of the exercise.
