NDC primaries;106 aspirants battles for 31 seats in the northern region

imageThree hundred and twenty thousand eight hundred fifty three (321,853) electorates will tomorrow Saturday decide the fate of one hundred and six parliamentary aspirants from the 31 constituencies in the northern region to reaise their ambitions to lead the NDC in the 2016 general elections.

Out of the number, 15 are incumbent members of parliament, three women and three Municipal and District Chief Executives in the race. The 321,853 electorate will cast their ballots in 740 voting centres across the region.

The Tamale Central Constituency recorded the highest number of registered electorate with 22,155. The Northern Regional Director of Elections of the NDC, Abdul Rashid Tanko Computer told Zaa News that most of the lingering issues in court are being addressed, while party elders are making frantic efforts to resolve the remaining ones to pave the way for the election
