The bikes are to enable executives carry out their work in hard-to-reach areas effectively. The bikes valued at twenty four thousand Ghana cedis (24,800GH¢) were donated to the party by one Abass Azumah, a young business man.

According to Mr. Abass he was moved by his quest to ensure victory for the NPP and the only way he could do this in his own small way is the little donation to facilitate movement. He urged others to emulate his example by putting their resources to help the party.

Outspoken Northern Regional Chairman Daniel Bugri Nabuu who received the bikes on behalf of the two constituencies said, the president’s home town (Bole) itself is a threat to the NDC and that the NPP needs to work hard to wrestle power from the NDC.
‘My visit to Bole last Monday was an eyesore, the streets were something else, Bole market was a pity and roads within Bole township are terrible’ Bugri Nabuu claimed.

Meanwhile, some members of the NPP in the Damongo constituency have appealed to the chairman to pay special attention to the concerns of Damongo constituency executives concerning the running of the party.

According to them they are not only interested in winning the 2016 elections, they want to make sure that the president loses his hometown. The concerned NPP supporters told Mr.  Nabuu that issues beyond his capacity should be channeled immediately to the national level. The activists maintained that the Damongo seat was a traditional seat for the NPP and mistakes in past had led the party to lose the seat and that such mistakes should not be repeated in this year’s election.

They also called for party unity both at the national and constituency levels.
Mr. Nabuu assured party supporters of his support adding he relates any challenge beyond him to the national headquarters of the party to be addressed.

According to him, he has already informed national executives and the flagbear Nana Addo about the need to ensure the Damongo, Daboya, Bole and other seats in Gonjaland are snatched from the NDC this coming elections. Parliamentary candidate for Damongo constituency for the NPP, Albert Kassim underscored the importance of unity within the party to win this year’s election.

The former NPP northern regional secretary, Dr Clifford Braimah and the former member of parliament for Damongo, Alex Seidu Soofo also commended the NPP philanthropist for his support to the party.
