Women in the northern region have been advised to use their God-given power to champion the need for peace as the country heads towards the general elections. The manager of Faith Catering Services gave the advice during this year’s mother’s day programme on Sunday.
The catering service organized the event at the Tamale Sports Stadium to celebrate and honour mothers for contributing their quota to the development of their children and national development.
The event was attended by hundreds of mothers with children who shared experiences of motherhood and the need to be responsible mothers. Madam Matilda Zenavu Pipio, manager of the catering service said women have all that it takes to convince their husbands and children against any action that will hinder the peace of the nation.
She explained that the event was organized to encourage women to champion the peace of the country saying, women and children are the most vulnerable when there is chaos in every nation.
Madam Pipio reminded women to always remember to discuss with their spouses, especially those who are into active politics to be responsible in their comments
Some of the women who participated in the programme commended Faith Catering Services and promised to play major roles as women to ensure peace in the upcoming general elections.
