Outspoken Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Limuna has called for an end to the political vindictiveness that permeates the country’s politics.

The minister described the practice which is prevalent among all the political parties in the country as dangerous and called for an immediate stop to the practice. He also regretted the fact that political activists from the various parties in their attempt to get appointed to political office have resorted to using this practice.

Addressing assembly members and heads of decentralised departments at the Kpandai District Assembly before the confirmation of the President nominee for Kpandai DCE Alfred Donkor, Alhaji Limuna urged politicians not to fight the political system because if they do, they are fighting themselves.

The minister commended the sacked DCE, Jatoh Moayi Jasper for the exemplary leadership role he played in supporting the president’s nominee to succeed him.

He assured the former Kpandai DCE that the government will surely reward him for the maturity he exhibited.

The Kpandai assembly members heeded to Alhaji Limuna’s appeal to endorse the nominee. At the end of polls, Mr Alfred had 37 votes out of 39 members present representing 95 percent.

The DCE elect, Mr.Donkor thanked assembly members and chiefs in the area for their support leading to his election.

Mr.Donkor promised to operate an open door administration and urged all tribes in the district to embrace peace and always resort to dialogue in addressing their grievances.

The Kpandai District, the DCE said, is endowed with a lot of potential and the only way to harness it is through peaceful coexistence among all tribes in the area.
