The General Secretary of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on supporters of the party not to rain insults on the running mate of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP),Dr Muhammadu Bawumia, but rather pray hard for him to open his eyes so he can see the wrong company he is in and return to the NDC

Mr Johnson Aseidu Nketia, affectionately called General Mosquito, told supporters that  Bawumia’s problem may be not his own making but rather from but where he finds himself(NPP).

“Don’t insult him, pray for him to open his eyes so that he returns to the right company, NDC is his home,” General Mosquito pleaded with the throng of party supporters in Tamale during the launch of the campaign of the Roads and Highways minister, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini.

He went on to compare Dr Bawumia’s behavior and that of tadpoles swimming in the same pond with tilapia, explaining that with the passage of time, as the tadpoles lose their tails form legs and wiggle away, Bawumia, too, will come to his senses and realize that the NPP is not the right environment for him.

“We are in Tamale to win more than the ten seats that were lost in the last elections and all efforts must be geared towards recapturing them,” he appealed to supporters. “We are not only in Tamale to secure victory in Tamale central for Alhaji Fuseini, but also to ensure that NDC gets a resounding victory,” General Mosquito explained.
