General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Church- Ghana, the Reverend Dr. Paul Frimpong-Manso has asked pastors of smaller churches in the country to stop struggling to build big and magnificent churches and rather focus on winning more souls.

Addressing pastors of various church denominations in Tamale yesterday, he said, the concept in Ghana where churches are put up first before the people is not the best practice. In Europe there are better and magnificent church buildings but fewer people. He reminded Christians that the churches represent Safe Only Souls (SOS), adding men of God can confront every person with the gospel.

“It is my expectation that after the crusade, Christians from all denominations win more souls to the Christ in Tamale,” Reverend Manso said at the church leaders meeting ahead of the biggest CFaN crusade with Reverend Kolende.

Local churches were also advised to suspend all activities in their churches and carry them out on the crusade grounds which have been prepared at the Tamale sports stadium. The Executive Director of Christ of All Nations ( CFaN ), Reverend John Darku called for maximum cooperation among the various churches in Ghana in their quest to spread the word of God.
According to Rev. Darku, unnecessary competition was not the way forward in winning souls for Christ. Antagonism against one another should not be the attitude of men of God because with co-operation every difficulty can be overcome.

“Stop all divisions and concentrate on God’s work because disunity yields nothing, Rev. Darku stressed. He entreated pastors of various denominations to encourage their followers to attend crusade.

The crusade, he noted was vital to Christians and the conviction shown by churches in the northern region ahead of an international Evangelist Daniel Kolenda crusade is remarkable.

Rev. Darku who has been with Assemblies of God Church for over 30 years and traveled across the globe emphasized the need for a synergy of churches during crusade. He reminded pastors that winning a single soul for Christ is very important which pastors should not overlook.
