Confirmed; Kumbungu constituency elections postponed

The leadership of the National Democratic Congress in Northern Regional has suspended both presidential and parliamentary elections in the Kumbungu constituency.

The suspension follows agreement reached both by the electoral commission,  regional executives and the National executives of the party. The election will be held tomorrow Sunday.

Northern Regional Secretary of the NDC, lawyer Khalid Abdul Rauf told Zaa News that, the National director elections upon careful assessment of the situation affirmed  the suspension. Over four hundred ‘foreign ames’ were found.

In the Mion constituency, 25 names were detected to be the opposition party members. The intervention by the incumbent member of parliament Dr Ahmed Alhassan Yakubu prevented violence in the area.

In the Tamale Central Constituency, two attempts were made to snatch but was unsuccessful.
