At least one person has been confirmed dead after a sprinter bus with registration number NR 514-19 involved in an accident around Bonyanto, a village near Damongo in the Savannah Region.
About 17 passengers have also sustained varied degree of injuries and have been rushed to the West Gonja Catholic Hospital where they currently responding to treatment.
Two of the passengers are said to be in a critical condition and has been referred to the Tamale Teaching Hospital.
According to one of the passengers who spoke to Damongo-based PAD FM said, the back tyre of the sprinter bus which was on a tough speed got burst causing it to somersault several times.
